Alexis and the Shadow
Alexis found her shadow for the 1st time and we found out she's terrified of it. Poor baby was screaming and trying to get away from it and run to her daddy at the same time. I think it's safe to say that she's not a fan of it.

Closet or Art Project?
You be the judge. =P Apparently this is what happens when you tell a 3 year old that his crayons work better on white after he was trying to color a black part of his coloring book. Can you guess who had to help clean it up??
My 3 year old! He know realizes crayons go on the wall a whole lot easier than they come off. I've still got a lot of scrubbing to do and all that scrubbing is taking the paint off the wall. I guess I'll be painting them once school starts back up. On the plus side...I still have paint left over from painting his room. =)
A B C....
This is Brandon. Today he surprised me by showing me something I didn't know he could do. He was looking at one of his books about letters and numbers. Suddenly I hear "B-Boy!" So, I went to go see what he was doing. Then he pointed to the next letter "C-Cat!", and the next "D-Dog!"...."E Elephant." I had no idea he knew his letters by sight. Surprise!!! =)

It's been awhile!
I haven't posted a new blog in a really long time! Now, Brandon is 3 years old and doing fantastic! He graduated out of his therapy program and into preschool. He's out for the summer right now and he's loving it. He is in occupational therapy through the school system, but that's on hold this summer as well. So, he's enjoying his free days. He loves trains, books, cars, and animals of all sorts. He has also gotten really good at puzzles and he's really into coloring, too. He is talking a lot more. He can even hold small conversations now which is awesome!!!! =D I'm so proud him.
Little Miss Alexis is now 1 year old! She may be small, but she's got plenty of personality. She loves her big brother, even though they love getting on each others' nerves. She also loves swinging at the park, baby dolls, and cookies. Most of the time she has a big smile on her face. She's working on learning how to walk now. She can walk, but once she falls down a couple of times she gets really frustrated and goes back to crawling, or her new favorite...walking on her knees.
My husband has recently managed to break into the film industry. He helps film and edit weddings. He also does graphic work. He is working on a movie poster for someone in LA right now. He is on the way to living his dreams!
And then there's me. I'm still a stay at home mom and I still love it most days. I also volunteer for a special needs sunday school class at my church and I spend time creating things to put on my facebook boutique, Krystal's Kreations.
Oh! There's 1 more that I can't forget. Our lovely cat, Mocha. She's still tolerating the kids torturing her and she's still just as mischievous as ever.
So, there you have it. The Ingalls' Family!

Best sentence ever....
I was playing with my 2 year old today with his barn and farm animals. He loves animals and we've been working on animal sounds a lot. His favorite seems to be the cow and the sheep. Usually I'll tell him "sheep says Bahh" or something like that to try to teach him. Then I'll ask him "can you say bahh?" And that's usually followed by him saying "bahh." Same conversation over and over...just with different animals. So today I saw him with his cow and asked him "What's a cow say?" He looked at me with his big, blue eyes and goes "Cow say mooo!" just as plain as ever! =D I've never been more excited to hear about a cow in my entire life. I think he knows he did something good by the next 5 minutes of me going "Good boy!! Cow says moo!" Lol! I'm hoping that this will be his breakthrough and he'll now see that conversations are more than just copying someone when they ask you to. Everyone keeps telling me that once he starts talking I won't be able to get him to shut up. But, what they can't seem to comprehend is how badly I want a little chatterbox. I want my son to be able to tell me all the wonderful things that go on in his mind. I want him to talk my ear off about anything his heart desires. I want to hear about who has cooties in his class and his favorite part of the day. I want to hear anything he wants to tell me. Because now I am all to aware than being verbal is not something to take for granted. It's a huge privilege to be able to have your child talk to you. So, don't ever make your child feel bad about talking because if that were to ever go away you would miss it much more than you can ever imagine.

Update
A little over 6 weeks until Alexis is due. =D How crazy is that?! I've got to get motivated to clean and finish getting the place ready for her! We got Brandon's baby swing out a few days ago. He was so cute! He got excited and went and grabbed his elmo to put in the swing and then he sat there swinging him for a good 10 minutes or so! I can't wait to see what a good big brother he's going to be. We went to target after his therapy Wednesday and he managed to hurt himself twice. Once he walked right into a metal pole. The 2nd time I guess he still had therapy on the brain. He was working on walking on different textures and climbing and stuff like that...with mats under him to catch him if he fell. So, He climbed on a very low, empty shelf. I thought he was going to sit down because I do that sometimes when I'm with other people and Lexi's giving me a hard time. But, nope. My lovely son decided to dive off the shelf head 1st. Thankfully, all it left was a bruise! He was not very happy when he found out target's floors weren't padded like Mr. Jim's are. >.< Crazy kid.
I found out about a huge baby and me consignment sale going on tomorrow at my local fairgrounds I'm going to go check out. I'm super excited! My mom and sister in law are going with me. I'm going to try out my kids' double stroller since my niece is going, too. =D It should be a fun day!
So...that's a very basic update on everything and everyone! =)

Introducing Motherhood and Beyond!
My name is Krystal Ingalls. I am happily married to my best friend and partner in crime (Kidding!) R. Alan Ingalls. We have a wonderful 2 year old son named Brandon. He is definitely a unique, fun loving little boy. He has PDD-NOS...which is on the autism spectrum. It makes his life a little more challenging than most, but luckily for him, he was born into a family who is ready and willing to help him succeed in anything he wishes to do. His life is full of people who love him and want him to succeed. His family goes beyond the typical extended family. He also has his team of therapists and teachers that we pretty much consider family as well. I'm so glad we got lucky enough to get a great team together to help him along the way! He has come a long way since he started seeing his therapists and I couldn't be prouder.
Brandon is going to be a big brother in about 8 weeks! Little Alexis Ann is due on April 1st. He loves being mommy's little helper, so I don't think he is going to get too jealous of her as long as we keep him involved.
I am hoping that by making this blog I will be able to update family and friends about things that are happening in my life. Please check back often to see the latest on the Ingalls Family! =) Have a great day!
